Join us at What Ability Day Melbourne
Our What Ability Day at AAMI Park on Sunday 22 February, is a disability inclusive event to meet your local athletes. We’re inviting people living with a disability, and their families, to join us at the stadium for the ultimate day with games, dancing and fun on the field! Volunteer’s role on the day will include packing event bags, face painting and joining in on the fun (e.g assisting with games on the field like ball toss or kick the goal).
- Please arrive at AAMI Park at 9am for the official volunteer briefing. We ask that you stay for the duration of the event which concludes at 12pm.
- Please wear activewear.
- Water and snacks will be available at the event.
Important
To attend the day you will need to obtain your Volunteer Working with Children’s Check VIC:

Apply online
Apply via Service Victoria and select Volunteer. -
Verify your identity
Provide two ID documents (one from Group A and one from Group B).
If needed, verify in person at Australia Post. -
Submit & wait
Your application is checked against police and other records.
Processing can take 3–12 weeks. Some organisations may accept your receipt number while you wait. -
Once approved
You’ll receive a digital or physical WWCC card and must show it before starting.
